4/20 is a significant time for a lot of people, especially for our formidable friends from FJAAK. “Extended”, the new album by Modeselektor, is out now. It’s a 27-track-mixtape and the DNA of a lot more to come. There are a couple of EPs that will get announced soon and each will focus on a different track from “Extended” with guest vocals, remixes and alternative versions. “Hello friends, this is Gernot writing. Just recently I discovered what is most likely my oldest, still working mixtape and it brought back some nice memories, which I want to share with you. As the label on the tape reveals, it was recorded on October 21, 1995. I was 16 years old, still went to school, still lived with my parents.
