Sylvere talks about the French Caribbean influence on his sound on Rinse FM

French producer Sylvere ventured into new sonic territory during a recording as a guest on Rinse FM’s Eclecticist, hosted by London-based DJ Silecta. Sylvere discussed his latest EP3, sharing insights into his Martinican roots and the impact they have had on his polymorphic sound.

The exchange between the two producers highlighted Sylvere’s unique blend of Zouk, Shatta, Bouyon, Kompa, and Techno influences. Among other things, we learn that Sylvere’s parents reside in the birthplace of Shatta music, in Saint-Joseph, Martinique, adding a personal touch to his exploration of the genre.
